Hey y’all! This year, we’re celebrating Christmas in a new way. Instead of our traditional holiday party, we’re coming together to create something special for our community — a Christmas event for the Boys & Girls Club of Durham and Orange Counties.
The idea came from friends in Kansas who host a yearly event pairing their employees with local kids for Christmas shopping. Hearing how much joy it brought to both the kids and the adults, we were inspired to start something similar here.
Here’s the plan: we’re sponsoring about 100 kids and making sure each one gets gifts and a fun holiday experience.
Four Ways You Can Participate: (choose as many as you like!)

🛍 Shop for a kid’s “wow gift” – Budget $100–$150 and get something special from their wishlist. Sign up to shop by Wednesday, Nov 5th. If you sign up to shop, we'll be in touch with some guidelines on gift buying.
💰 Donate – Can’t shop? Donate directly to the Boys & Girls Club to help cover gifts for all 100 kids.
🎨 Help set up – Come the morning of Dec 8 (9:30 AM – 12 PM) to decorate, wrap gifts, and get everything ready for the event.
🎅 Attend the event! – Monday, Dec 8, 4–6 PM. Hang out with the kids, help with games, crafts, and enjoy snacks & holiday cheer!
👉 Sign up by Friday, Nov 21st to let us know if you’ll be attending the event. Let’s make this Christmas one to remember!
